Berlin, Amsterdam, and Paris

ok wow sorry its been awhile since i've written. its just so crazy finding free internet or at a decent price. the last place was 2 euros for 30 min??? heck no techno.
Berlin was by far my most favoritest place ever! we took a tour of the city and our tour guide made it so much more enjoyable. i loved the history, the buildings, the people. four nights was not enough....:( even though we jumped from hostel to hostel, each one was awesome. my favorite: wombat's. i recommend it thoroughly. we also went to a pub crawl. if you didnt get drunk, you should've stayed home lol.
amsterdam was insane. it was what i expected but 10x more. there are no rules except get out of the tram's way becuz it's not gonna stop. for no one. the red light district was unbelievable. the prostitutes looked like manniquins behind glass but they moved and tried to pull in dirty old men into their box. i was a little creeped out by the creepers lurking around. there were coffeeshops, fri stands, sex shops, and kabab restaurants. and that repeated over the whole district. we felt like we were the only girls cuz in every hostel there were guys everywhere. i should have guessed. pretty much the only girls there were with their boyfriends.......wow. but anyways, it was fun. we went to the absinthe bar where they had pretty much every kind of it. we tried a strawberry kind. kinda like licorice. overall, fun times. a few days is enough of this lifestyle and i prolly wont have fries for a while....
Paris. j' te aime paris.....there is so much to see here. first of all, i've never walked so much, waited in line so much or spent so much money in one place throughout my whole trip. but its still worth it. we went to versailles yesterday which was amazing but took so long becuz of the lines. the louvre was awesome. we saw little old mona lisa, venus de milo, the da vinci wing, and other crazy old stuff. even though i've walked alot, i've also eaten alot of baguettes and cheese. so good. we just grab one to go but it doesnt last very long well, for me it doesnt. we saw where the moulin rouge is in the red light district. a dinner and show is so expensive, its about 150 euros. uh, no. so today is our last day in France....we're going to picnic at the eiffel tower. au revoir, paris.

praha

we're in prague! woooooooooo! it's an exciting and beautiful place despite the many tourists and that our hostel is far from the center. we went to a ghost and beer tour which was interesting and everything is not cheap at all. boo. it's kinda confusing converting crowns to euros to dollars and the language doesnt help. i feel like i'm gonna catch a cold cuz of all the contiki and top deck people who are partying here. today we went to visit the Mucha museum which was Very interesting. i'm tired and i miss everybody. tomorrow, we're gonna see the castle, another museum, and take a walking tour and maybe a pub crawl lol. and we bought absinthe (sp?) not the best flavor.........ok goodnight.

ROMA. i came. i saw. i got crunk.

ciao ciao everyone! sorry for the delay! the internet here is very lame. well the past few weeks have been a blur. the last weekend before school ended me and two of my roommates went to Rome and stayed w/a family friend. it was so hot there. we saw the colosseum and they had "real" vikings. they were fun. and then we went to go see the vatican and st. peter's basilica. it was amazing! we tried to go in but by the time we were there the lines were filled with tourists... on the way home we went to pisa and saw the leaning tower. personally, i think it was worth the effort of getting there. its crazy to see the comparison to the church it stands nexts to. you can tell how much its leaning.
so the last week of school was actually the best time ive had there. the whole time we worked on making our garment that we designed the week before out of 5 t-shirts they gave us. its amazing to see how many different looks were presented on the last day made out of the same material. that night the school had a farewell party for everyone. me and the roommates had a family dinner at our dorms then we went to go say goodbye to our favorite bar. :( shout outs to leo, gabby, victor and pepe! it was sad to see everyone go. it felt like the last day on the real world where everyone leaves two at a time. we all got really lucky to be fortunate to meet each other and be able to get along so easily. i miss you girls!!!
ok so now that elsie is here (yay!) we're in salzburg, Austria. but we're on our way to vienna. salzburg was very pretty. we saw where mozart lived and where the sound of music was filmed. the hostel was very comfy and the beer was cheap! well gotta go catch the train! auf wiedersehen!!!!!!!!!

cinque terre

i just came back from cinque terre! it was beeeeeeauuutiful.  i have to wait till school to upload pictures..... me and my roommates went for the weekend and it was fun. the water was clear and refreshing. there was no waves but you can swim forever. there were speedos and boobs.  wacka wacka.... i like the country side wayy better than milan's city life.  cinque means 5 and i think terre means lands. so there were 5 little cities along the coast. we went to montrosso where the beach was and we also went to vernazza which was also very beautiful. the picture to the left is vernazza.

boo

ciao. im sorry but i have to rant about italy for a little bit. i seriously need bug repellant and school is so lame. i expected more for the price. the class has been super boring and everyone has been either falling asleep or doodling in our sketch books. the whole time the teacher has been talking about africa and "what is africa?" and how she's obsessed with wikipedia and how were supposed to "give back" to it. today after much complaints, she finally started talking about fashion in africa which was semi-interesting. she said she didn't want to talk about africa's designers because looking at art from africa would be more inspiring for the second week of class where were making mood boards. (mood board= a poster size collage of a certain idea with sketches and swatches and fashion figures.) she thought talking about the designers would be boring.......uhhh.......i thought i was in a fashion class???? no sense. and her assistant is a little off.  so the main coordinator for the courses came in and talked to the class about what was wrong. after we told her that we didnt understand how this related to fashion, she then began to lecture us on how the theory of africa should be understood before anything else. fashion comes from society and its behavior in the world. i get that but for a beginning fashion course you learn about the concepts and different aspects of fashion while watching and seeing shows and photos and the history behind it.  i dunno...maybe actually sketching or playing with fabric swatches or the different jobs fashion has to offer? ok done...whew we'll see how next week is with a different teacher (who is by the way a little crazy :/) oh well thankyoubye
